Ok, I got the game and applied the patch, gonna try playing it on PC later on but on Joiplay I get this error

Does this error occur without the patch? A really quick look makes me think the error might be coming from the RPG Maker interpreter, which would mean JoiPlay might not be fully compatible with this particular game. But I might be wrong.

On another note, I'm still really busy, an update to the patch for the newer versions will have to wait, I'm really sorry.

I'm not sure about the rules on that regard, so I'll only say to look where you're sharing anime.
Feel free to bug them to update the copy they share to the version 2.5 too.

I had this exact issue occurs in the recollection room once on Hualong and I never got it again since.
Does this occur consistently for you? If so, do you have a save file to share perhaps?
I did a quick check and the patch doesn't touch these related strings at all, so it's probably an issue with the game itself. However, if I can troubleshoot it, I could perhaps add a fix for it in the patch (if it hasn't been fixed in whatever the current version is now).

Revert the order of the bolded words to get the place. And make sure to search the game name on it, some were clearly labeled as 2.4 when I looked. I can't help more.

I just copied `k_tachie_1_3.png` to `k_tachie_1_30.png` and went on. I suspect it depends on an arousal level

Almost sure I remember old untranslated versions working on joiplay tho, it was 1.4 or something I think? One of these old versions avaliable online that can be easily be found on google search, I gonna download them again and test to see if they really work well as I remember.


I'm not a RPGMaker expert but I used to mess with the engines in the past, dunno whats happening but, eith my limited knowledge I assume the new versions might just straight up be incompatible due to updates on the javascript, it happens on certain rpgmaker games that make great changes to their code on updates

In this case it isn't really something you should be sorry about, sometimes, emulation issues are something beyond our control

Yeah, sorry for the late reply but it happens both on patched and non-patched versions
I'm using 2.4+DLC since I could not find a link for 2.5

I just remembered something. When does the crash occur exactly? On boot?
I never used JoiPlay but I got this exact error when I tried to load the game in a chrome browser, which I suspect JoiPlay might be doing.
I had to modify the game to make it work, for testing purpose (rather than having to install RPG Maker).

I have no idea if it'll work for you, nor if the game is fully playable this way.
It might also require further modifications to fix the game aspect ratio.
But, if you happen to have the know-how, this is a starting point.
The crash itself has something to do with the way this game handle the save files and CSV files, using requirejs, I believe.
In short and from the little understanding I have, all the calls such as require('fs') are leading to this error, because requirejs isn't present outside of NW.js (which RPG Maker uses). There might be an easier way to fix it than modifying the game code but I don't know how, javascript isn't really my jam.

Not the right place to ask. I never heard of the first game. As for the second, it looks recent, check if it got a thread perhaps?
EDIT: I noticed these games were mentionned earlier in the thread. I never heard of these before, but I know someone who might be interested to make a patch for them.

Jooop mentioned possibly translating them in another thread, but that's never come to pass. After downloading the first one I can say that it works pretty well with mtool, not sure about the second.

Stuff came up so making a patch for 2.5 will wait. Someone told me the patch works fine on it, if you somehow feels adventurous (Alternatively, the script is included to rebuild a patch, if needed, the new strings won't just be translated, if there is any).

EDIT: It seems the game got updated again, latest version is now 2.5.1, a bug introduced in 2.5 has been fixed. So, no rush, I supppose.

2.6 is out now, not sure if it's patch related but trying to load the 3rd map (randomly) I have the following issue:

About the version, indeed when you buy legit the game it's hard to pick a specific version, hard to tell which is the best course of action... having a long running stable would be nice, mb some twitter lurkers can tell if dev is still planning updates / squashing bugs ?

Sorry for the delays, I've been busy (and will be in the upcoming days), I finally updated the patch to the latest version (2.6).
You can find it in my original post, in the same mega folder.
I'll keep the 2.4 patch inside for those stuck on this version.

It's not related to a particular map, as far as I can tell. It only happens when the next Map is set to Random with the blue crystal. Your theory about the map pool being the cause might be right.
I'll dig deeper.

EDIT: I found out why:
In 2.5 and above, the dev added mapData8.csv in sugorokuDatas/map. From its content, it's intended to be a debug map.
However, it's added automatically into the Random map pool. And when it hits this file, it tries to load data/Map020.json, which doesn't exists.
Your error occurs after the 3rd game because there are less maps in the random pools but I'm sure it can occurs before too.
An easy fix is to simply delete sugorokuDatas/map/mapData8.csv.
However it'll only fix new games, as the random pool is already set for your current save file(s). I'll see if I can fix this issue via the patch itself.

EDIT²: I updated the patch in the mega folder (named surogoku2_v2.6_MTL_v1.4.rar).
It adds a few checks and fixes to dodge the bad map. I tested it and it seems to work perfectly, but I'm leaving the previous patch in the folder, just in case I broke something else in the process.

I maybe wrong but I don't think so. But that is why we have holly water. If we or other are about to transform sooner than we want, we dip it on them or us, and it lover our corruption a bit.
